Terms of Service
Workshop/ Event Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Balls and Skeins. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a workshop or event. Workshops include, but are not limited to, courses, lessons and Project Rescue sessions. By completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Booking & Check-In
Ticketless Entry: Your booking confirmation email serves as your ticket. You do not need to print it out; we will check you in using our guest list on the evening.
Accuracy: It is your responsibility to check the date, time, and location of the workshop before finalizing your booking.
2. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling
Final Sales: Because our creative workshops run on fixed dates with limited capacity, bookings are final. Under Regulation 28(1)(h) of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, leisure and event services scheduled for a specific date are exempt from the standard 14-day online cooling-off period. Therefore, we do not offer refunds.
7+ Days’ Notice (Rescheduling): If you notify us at least 7 full days before your scheduled workshop, we will happily transfer you to an alternative date or issue a credit code for future use.
Less than 7 Days’ Notice: Within the 7-day window, tickets cannot be refunded, rescheduled, or credited.
Ticket Transfers: If you cannot attend and are within the 7-day window, you may send someone else in your place. Please email us before the event starts to update the guest list name.
3. Late Arrivals
Prompt Start: Workshops start promptly at the advertised time to ensure all attendees get the most out of the session.
10-Minute Limit: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the workshop will have progressed too far for you to be caught up safely. Your spot will be forfeited, and you will not be eligible for a refund, credit, or transfer.
4. Age Restrictions
Adult Workshops: Our standard workshops are strictly for over 18s only.
Young Crafters: We run dedicated events specifically designed for younger participants. Please check our website for dates and age requirements for these specific sessions.
5. Workshop Cancellations by Balls and Skeins
Minimum Numbers: We require a minimum number of attendees to run each class.
Our Right to Cancel: In the rare event that a workshop does not meet minimum numbers, or if we must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you immediately.
Your Remedy: You will be offered a choice between a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date. Our liability is strictly limited to the cost of the workshop ticket.
