Fancy learning to crochet but have absolutely no idea where to start?
Our relaxed Introduction to Crochet workshop is designed for complete beginners - especially those who have never picked up a crochet hook before.
Date: Tuesday, October 13th, 2026
Venue: Buick MacKane, 2A Northbrook St, Park St, Newbury RG14 1EA
We’ll start right at the beginning: how to hold your hook and yarn, make a slip knot, control your tension and create your first crochet chains. There’s no pressure to keep up, no complicated patterns and definitely no expectation that your first stitches will be perfect!
You’ll have plenty of time to practise, ask questions and get individual help from an experienced tutor. We’ll then use your new skills to create a simple chain-based project for you to take home.
Level of Experience: No previous experience necessary.
Materials: All yarn, hooks and equipment are provided, so you just need to bring yourself.
