Always wanted to try knitting but don't know where to start? Come along to our beginner knitting workshop and learn the essential skills. In this 90 minute class, you will create a knitted cotton square make-up remover pad.
Date: Monday, October 12th, 2026
Venue: Buick MacKane, 2A Northbrook St, Park St, Newbury RG14 1EA
You will learn about yarn weights and choosing the right needles for your yarn and project, casting on, using the knit and purl stitches to shape your square and casting off. We’ll also cover basic knitting terminology and additional tips & techniques for your knitting.
You'll be supported throughout the workshop in a small, relaxed and encouraging group; with plenty of time to practise, ask questions and develop your skills.
Materials: All yarn, needles and equipment are provided, so you just need to bring yourself.
Level of Experience: No previous experience necessary.
